The "Pro" Headshot Session
You will achieve the best results if you allow yourself to get over the initial stress and nerves of having your photo taken and give yourself the time to enjoy the process with me.
Sarah Dark - Solicitor
"Ryan was recommended to me when I required headshots to be taken for marketing purposes and I’m very glad he was. He was a pleasure to work with and made the photo session fun whilst remaining professional throughout. Ryan gave superb direction (I loved the tip about ‘squinching’) and at the end of the shoot produced several photos that achieved the ‘look’ I was aiming for – professional and approachable. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Ryan to anyone looking for a commercial photographer." Posted on Google Aug 2017
During this shoot, I will be able to direct you into looking your best despite how uncomfortable you may usually feel in front of a camera.
We will usually shoot a series of images, allowing you to get comfortable with my commands and direction.
We will be stopping to examine the images with you at intervals, showing you what is working or what is not and then continuing to improve on those.
If you wish to, you may bring a couple of different tops along so that you can have a variety of looks by the end. We may have time to shoot against an alternate backdrop too if you so desire.
Backdrop options are white, light grey, dark grey and black but do let me know ahead of time if you have any special requests.
We´re aiming to come out with approximately 40-50 images to choose from this whole session.
You will receive a secure online proof gallery of your images to view after the shoot.
Two fully retouched digital images will be included in this package. Choose your favourite two to get the finished treatment.
If you need any of the others retouched at a later date, they can be ordered for an additional ₤35 per image.
During the shoot, we will stop regularly to examine the images we have captured, figure out what is working and what is not.
You will also have time to change into a few different tops or even adjust your hairstyle.
We will end up with more images to choose from, achieving much better results.
This session lasts up to 120 minutes, allowing you time to change looks/clothing, but if you feel that you need more time you can ask to add another hour for a further ₤50.
In the case that you might just want to take advantage of an extra hour then I recommend scheduling at the end of my day in order to allow free time to extend your session.
I'm sure you appreciate that as a freelance photographer, I must manage my time carefully and need to have paying clients in front of me to make any kind of living.
If for any reason you need to change a scheduled session, I require at least 3 days (72 hours) notice to change it without a penalty.
What do you need to consider for your shoot?
Hair & Makeup Artist
If you wish to remove the stress of applying your own makeup or if would love to keep your hair under control throughout the shoot, I can suggest a hair & makeup artist for you to book.
Hair and makeup artists are highly recommended but they do need plenty of warning to make sure that they can attend your shoot. If you book a shoot with short notice it is unlikely that we will find a makeup artist in time.
Please be aware that you will need to have finished with hair & makeup before we begin shooting the images.
If you want the artist to stick around and keep fixing your hair, please make this is made clear to them, before you book them.
You will pay the hair/makeup artist directly. Their fees are usually £50 for an hour + travel.
